MedLlama is an AI-powered educational reference tool and personal medication reminder app. It is designed to help students and enthusiasts understand medical terminology via chat, and provides a utility to set manual alarms for daily routines.
Is MedLlama free?
The core educational dictionary queries and basic local reminder alarms are free. Advanced AI chat limits and premium features require a Subscription.
2. MEDGEMMA AI & CAPABILITIES
Is MedLlama a digital doctor?
Absolutely not. MedLlama is strictly an educational text bot. It cannot diagnose conditions, analyze symptoms, or provide medical advice. Always consult a real doctor for health concerns.
Can it read my X-Rays, MRIs, or skin photos?
No. MedLlama DOES NOT accept, process, or analyze any diagnostic medical imagery, X-Rays, MRIs, or bodily photographs. It is a text-based educational platform.
Why does the app ask for Camera permission?
The camera is used EXCLUSIVELY as an Optical Character Recognition (OCR) text scanner. It allows you to scan the printed text on your medication box so you don't have to type long drug names manually when setting up a reminder alarm. It does not visually identify pills.
3. PRIVACY & SECURITY
Is my chat data safe?
Yes. All your educational chat queries and reminder schedules are protected with AES-256 encryption. We do not sell your personal data to advertisers.
Are my camera scans saved?
No. When you use the camera to scan a medication box for text (OCR), the image is processed transiently and is NOT stored on our servers.
4. MEDICATION REMINDERS
Does the app know when I should take my medicine?
No. The app does not generate clinical schedules. You are completely responsible for entering the correct medication name, dosage, and choosing the exact time the alarm should ring.
5. SUBSCRIPTION & BILLING
How do I cancel my subscription?
You can cancel anytime via your Apple ID or Google Play Store subscription settings. Cancellation stops auto-renewal at the end of the current billing cycle.
Do you offer refunds?
Refund requests are managed directly by the App Store (Apple) or Google Play according to their respective consumer policies.
